Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

Redbrix is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it. It applies to the Redbrix website (redbrix.io) and the Redbrix application (app.redbrix.io).

Who we are

Redbrix is operated by Redbrix Limited and is designed, built, and run by a single independent developer. Redbrix Limited is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, contact us at support@redbrix.io.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create a Redbrix account, we collect your name, email address, and a password. Your password is stored only as a secure hash — we cannot read it. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name and email address from that provider; we do not receive or store their passwords.

Connection details. Redbrix does not store your database password by default. For team workspaces, an administrator can choose to save a shared connection's password so their team can connect without it — when they do, it is encrypted at rest and never shown, exported or logged.

Display settings. Customisations you make in the app, such as custom column labels and title fields, are stored as metadata against your account. They describe how your data is displayed — they contain no data from your database.

Correspondence. If you email us or use the in-app feedback link, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and improve the product.

What we never collect

The contents of your database are never stored, cached, logged, analysed, or shared by Redbrix. Queries run directly between your session and your database server, and the results are shown only to you, in your session. We have no background processes, indexing, or analytics that read your database content. See our Security & Privacy page for the full technical picture.

How we use your information

We use the information above solely to:

  • provide and operate the Redbrix service
  • authenticate you and keep your account secure
  • respond to your support requests and feedback
  • send you important service announcements (for example, notice before paid tiers launch)

We do not sell your information, share it with third parties for marketing, or use it for advertising. We will not send you marketing emails without your consent.

Cookies

Redbrix uses only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you logged in and secures your connection while you use the app. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and tell you first.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account information for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, your account details, saved connection details, and display settings are permanently removed — nothing is left behind. Because we never store your database contents or passwords, there is nothing else to delete.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how it is used. To exercise any of these rights, email support@redbrix.io and we will respond as quickly as we can. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app before the changes take effect.
